"During a heart attack and subsequent stent placement procedure in 2007, the experiencer’s heart stopped, leading to a loss of consciousness. In that state, she entered a vivid afterlife vision of a beautiful flower field with mountains and heard her deceased niece calling to her. She was resuscitated without initially knowing her heart had stopped. The experience eliminated her fear of death and reinforced a belief in life after life. She has since become a dedicated Christian, moving away from her prior Catholic identity."
"On December 7, 2017, a woman experienced a near-death episode triggered by a pulmonary embolism—a "widow maker" blood clot that lodged in her heart after giving birth via C-section the day before. As her heart rate soared to 225 bpm, she observed a light appearing in the hospital room corner, and felt her energy flowing toward it. She was carried through space into what she recognized as a "central sun"—a massive ball of light from which all energy flows throughout the multiverse. There, she experienced visions of all her past lives, including a life review showing both good and bad deeds. She encountered familiar energies of deceased loved ones from various lifetimes and received profound knowledge about how the universe operates, including insights about dark energy and matter. Most significantly, her life purpose was revealed: to love, teach, and serve as a beacon for others who have had similar experiences, while raising her children to lead with their hearts. After violently returning to her body, she survived what proved to be a 98% fatal condition. The experience left her with enhanced psychic abilities, including hearing people's thoughts and sensing electricity, though she struggles with feeling disconnected from ordinary human concerns."
"Following a colonoscopy procedure, this individual experienced severe internal bleeding that led to a near-death experience. Two days after the procedure, he felt unwell during a professional meeting and drove home, losing consciousness. After contacting his doctor, he passed out in the waiting room and awakened in intensive care, having lost approximately two pints of blood with his heart rate dropping to around twenty beats per minute. During the critical episode, he experienced a vivid NDE characterized by intense pain while surrounded by bright white light. Despite the discomfort, he felt compelled to recite the Lord's Prayer and became frustrated when something interrupted his recitation. Most significantly, he encountered his recently deceased mother's face and believes she may have spoken to him, though he couldn't recall her exact words. His wife, present during the crisis, reported that he appeared dead during the episode. The experience left him contemplating its meaning, particularly given his family history of fatal heart attacks and strokes. Though he described the experience as "not earth-shattering," he sought understanding about whether this constituted a genuine near-death experience, expressing interest in taking such encounters more seriously if validated."
This overwhelming love is perhaps the most consistently reported element of NDEs.
